Oh Er Excitement

Oh my Paws ! We have had some excitement here, Momma and I were sitting having a quiet snuggle when we heard a dull kinda thump at the door. Now the postie had been and the parcel man had been so who could it be.

We we looked out the window and no one was there, then we heard a funny odd tappity tap tapping noise. So Moms being the brave soul she is opened the door ( only a crack though ) and there on the doorstep was Percy. Momma tried shooing him away but he wasn’t going anywhere. So off Moms trots to our little shed and got out a small pet carrier, got a towel and headed back to the door expecting Percy not to be there but he was. She dropped the towel over him and popped in the carrier. Now we didn’t have a clue what to do so she googled and found out ring numbers. She picked Percy up and took a phone number off of one ring and his registration number off the other and rang his Mom. Now his Dad was out but he is going to ring Momma later, he lives all the way in Dorset which is a very long way from us. Momma fought it wasn’t fair to keep Percy in the carrier for too long so she got out a big old dog crate , stuck a pole in for Percy to sit on, some water and food and he is happily resting in there now after a long drink and some noms. We just have to wait now until his Dad rings Momma.

Meet Percy

Hi Percy! It is nice to meet you!

Wow, that is one of the strangest stories we have heard - we have never had a bird show up at our house other than the wild kind - how cool!

Hi Molly,

We have lots of pigeons around our house, but they aren't so cute as Percy. It is so nice of you to take care of this little guy until his parents can come and get him. See this is why I like you - you are just so gosh darn thoughtful and sweet!

Your pal, Pip

I was pretty confused for a little bit there. I thought that Percy was someone you knew already, but I get it now. Percy knew which door to land at when he ran into trouble, which I guess he did. Got lost or something? Anyway, he went to your Mom and that was the right person, wasn't it?

lotsa licks, Lola
