Thankful Thursday

Today I am thankful for all that I have, I have a warm cosy home, loving Mom and Dad and I am safe, loved, protected and cared for. So I think I have a lot to be thankful for the last few days have made me realise all that I do have.

Lucy left last night because of her keep thinking of me as a snack now although I wasn’t keen on this I do realise some other dogs don’t realise I cannot see and sometimes my bumbling about and staring into space kinda spooks them. The ladies at LDR explained this can happen with sighted and non sighted doglets. It all got a bit too much for Mom though when she came in from the kitchen after hearing growling to find Lucy with my head in her mouth, she was not putting any pressure on me but she was growling rather scarily. So Mom gave her a very firm  NO and promptly scooped me up and when into the kitchen followed by Lucy growling and barking at her. I will admit I was very shaken and so was poor Mom, I am not sure to be honest who was more shook up really but I do know my Mom was shaking. As you can imagine Mom has been living on her nerves since that episode on Tuesday but now she has finally relaxed, I think her not having to jump up and down every time I want to go out in the garden or to get a drink. Home is now getting back to normal again which is nice.

Mom went out for the first time in what seems like forever and she had lunch with her Mum and then went to see our friend Chrissie at Kissiboo, Mom came home after spending a lovely couple of hours nattering with Chrissie and Lyn and she was bearing pressies…………………. for moi  !

Obviously I did the happy dance ‘cos’ Mom was home ( with my fav venison sausages ) and pink leopard print pj’s/sun-suit and a very pretty girly collar as well as a plain red pair of pj’s for me to try on. Well I was so excited I got myself half out of my red spotty dress and Mom helped me get out of the rest and I promptly wanted my pink leopard print on. Goodness me Mom was (in her words ) gob smacked at how fabulous I look. I dragged Mom’s camera to her and pranced about to let her know it was photo time so of course she did the honours & then into the garden for some outside shots too. I am lucky I have a Mom who thinks I am beautiful .

So here are a couple of the shots Mom took, I hope you like them as much as Mom does.

Oh, those PJ's are darling on you. You look good enough to....oops...never mind. You look beautiful. I'm sorry that Lucy had to leave, but not sorry she left, if you get my meaning. It was wonderful of you and Mum to try to help her out, but home has to be a safe place for everyone who lives there or it's not going to feel like home is it? Anyway, I think it was for the best and now you can
enjoy not being anyone's idea of a snack in a way you couldn't appreciate before Lucy came along.

Hi Molly,

I like your outfit. Red is one my favorite colors, as well. I am sorry to hear about Lucy, It must have been very scary and I am so glad you are OK.

I put your award up on my blog. It is not sparkling (maybe I did it wrong), but it is still beautiful and I very proud to have won!

Your friend, Pip
